Hi there fellow canadian. I too wish to buy a property(but build my own house) and live off the land!! I have done this before in Ontario (Skeleton Lake) and built a log cabin all by myself. Cut the logs, cured them, etc. I ate every possible animal too, Possom really wasn't too bad! I'm out in Alberta now but my dream is to be in British Columbia in the mountains. Be a "mountain man" and sing 'Rocky top"!
